Yae Miko Changed her Elemental Nerf Skill to Genshin Impact 2.6

After Genshin Impact 2.6 updates, miHoYo released a statement noting the changes made to Yae Miko. However, ever since the patch was finished, people have been reporting issues with the character change. Namely, customizing Sesshou Sakura’s placed “tower” with her Elemental Skill. However, in practice, people reported this action as a nerf Yae Miko.

When miHoYo announced the change, he noted that the change in Yae Miko’s Elemental Skill would affect the target Genshin Impactenemy. It specifically notes two things that were changed. Properly worded, it says there will be “adjustments to the mechanics by which enemies are targeted” and “mass optimization of the enemy character selection logic based on 1., aimed at fixing targeting issues.” The goal is to make it easier for people to specifically target specific enemies when placing each Sesshou Sakura.

In practice, however, it produces nerfs that can prevent Yae Miko from doing damage in some cases and applying Electro to large groups in others. Players who own these characters visit sites like Reddit to share their experiences. In one test sample with no enemies around, someone tried to use his Elemental Skill to destroy the Hilichurl tower. Instead, Sesshou Sakura targeted a fallen branch nearby. More video examples indicates that if an enemy is carrying a shield, the tower will only target that one enemy and not guard nearby enemies. As a result, the tower will do no damage.

In miHoYo’s announcement regarding the update, it was said to be watching, listening to players, and potentially fixing Yae Miko again.
